A Bit of Interesting History & Facts about Show Low in North Eastern Arizona ~
Established in 1870, Show Low was Incorporated in 1953. Show Low has all the modern day conveniences, yet still retains that "Old West Arizona" feel. Show Low was named after a turn of a card, and to this day, a card game is used to decide the winner of a tied election. Show Low is considered the commercial HUB of the White Mountains. At 6,400 feet elevation, temperatures average 30 degrees cooler than Phoenix and Tucson.
Show Low is approximately 180 miles from Phoenix and Tucson, and only 80 miles from Payson and Globe.
